The city of Denver is overflowing with talented musicians. The Kick Ass Open Mic is a bi-weekly series that is geared towards drawing in the best of that talent under one roof and offer opportunities for artists to collaborate and showcase new material. This series was originally hosted at Paris On the Platte by Dave Tamkin and Chris Webb, but we’ve had to grow our venue with its popularity!
This event was developed to help foster a creative social network of professional, amateur, and beginner musicians and poets in Denver. The Crossroads Theater is NOT some defunct stage and sound system in the back of a small shop. Its a 100 seat performing arts center with professional sound, and of course a cash bar. It will be a night where established musicians can collaborate with one another, where young musicians can seek advice from the experienced, and where the most musical minds of Denver can congregate to trade thoughts, ideas, and creativity.
The theater has a sound guy present with a couple of DIs, Amp Mics,
Vocal Mics, an upright piano, and a small drum set for anyone’s use. If you need anything special beyond that, please see the link below.
There is a $3 cover charge to help offset our rental cost of the theater.
